ALTERNATIVE BAND, COLD, ROCKS FOUNTAINHEAD COLLEGE
OF TECHNOLOGY

KNOXVILLE, TN (October 20, 2005) - Fountainhead College
of Technology gave back to students and the community
recently as they hosted a concert to kick off their
upcoming CyberNight Open House Tuesday, October 25th.
Cold, a Jacksonville, Florida-based alternative metal
band, held a private concert for 40 lucky ticket winners.
Winners were able to hang out with the band members,
enjoy a free performance and get a preview of CyberNight.
In
town for a concert at Blue Cats, Cold agreed to play
a private 94.3 The X Session concert at Fountainhead
College of Technology.
"We wanted to do something to say thank you
to the community and students for supporting Fountainhead,"
commented Richard Rackley, president of Fountainhead
College of Technology. "This was a great way
to get everyone excited about CyberNight Open House
and to celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month."

Fountainhead College of Technology was founded in
1947 as Tennessee Institute of Electronics to prepare
graduates for employment as electronic technicians.
The college was awarded accreditation in 1967 by the
National Association of Trade and Technical Schools,
now the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and
Colleges of Technology. The college was founded in
1947, is located on Tazewell Pike in Fountain City
and was formerly Tennessee Institute of Electronics.
It offers bachelor degrees in network security & forensics
and technical management, as well as associate degrees
in computer programming, website development, information
technology and electronics engineering.

Fountainhead College of Technology, formerly Tennessee Institute of Electronics, was founded in 1947 and is committed to using it resources to significantly contribute to efforts to secure the nation's critical infrastructure. In 1999 the college began offering an associate's degree in Information Technology with curriculum developed to include information security training. In 2002 the college began development of a baccalaureate degree in Network Security and Forensics; and in 2003 Fountainhead College of Technology became the first college in the southeast to offer a computer security focused baccalaureate degree. The mission of the IACT center is to develop and maintain a strong information assurance curriculum that adheres to national standards, and to also address the cybersecurity needs of the community by offering training and support for Fountainhead College of Technology students, staff, and faculty; local law enforcement; government agencies; and information technology professionals.
