Fountainhead College of Technology has teamed with ARUBA Technologies to offer wireless security training. An introductory seminar was held last week.
ARUBA engineer Steve Scully discussed specific goals of the training and the importance of wireless security.
Fountainhead College, located on Tazewell Pike in Fountain City, has met the criteria to award four information assurance certificates approved by the National Security Agency's (NSA) Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) .
"Fountainhead voluntarily submitted its curriculum to be evaluated by the CNSS IA courseware approval process," said president Richard Rackley.
According to the CNSS Web site, CNSS certified institutions receive national recognition and serve as a model for other academic, commerical and government education and training institutions.
Because the curriculum itself has been approved, in addition to their degree, graduates of the network security and forensics bachelor program will receive four CNSS certificates without additional testing requirements.
The college was formerly Tennessee Institute of Electronics, founded in 1947. It offers bachelor degrees in network security & forensics and technical management, as well as associate degrees in computer programming, website development, information technology and electronics engineering.
