Vishing as an Emerging Attack Vector You may already know that you are supposed to ignore unsolicited "phishing" e-mails from your financial institutions. What if one provides a phone number you can call? What if your caller ID verifies it is your bank calling? Social engineering phishing scams using voice or VoIP are known as "vishing". Victims of vishing experience identity theft and financial loss. Understand how vishing crimes are perpetuated and what you can do to avoid being a victim.
